JIMMY HENDERSON

Bio:

Born and raised in Spanish Fork, Utah, Jimmy began his journey as an actor when he was eight years old. After being told he had a natural charisma onstage, he continued auditioning for school and community musicals up through his senior year of High School with roles including Skimbleshanks in Cats, Sebastian in The Little Mermaid, D'Artagnan in The Three Musketeers, Richard Hannay in 39 Steps, and the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He was also part of the school's Shakespeare team, a capella group, improv troupe, and their nationally competitive show choir, on which he served as dance captain. Jimmy was also the school's Thespian president and won the school Sterling Scholar award for Speech/Drama.

During his senior year he spontaneously submitted an audition for the Music Dance Theatre program at Brigham Young University and got accepted. After serving a two-year LDS mission in Kumasi, Ghana, Jimmy began his collegiate musical theatre education which included three years as a member of BYU's music-dance performing company, The Young Ambassadors. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Dance Theatre in April 2022.

In his spare time, Jimmy enjoys golfing, cooking, and watching and reviewing movies. He does, in fact, have secret aspirations to become a film critic (check out his Letterboxd @JimmyHenderson, he's only got like 6 followers). He also enjoys distance running, hiking, and deep and challenging conversations. Most of all though, he enjoys the thrill of performing and the satisfaction of bringing people joy through song and dance.
